This will be the first of many blogs for the Perkins Band. This will be another way for students and parents to stay up-to-date with Band assignments and performances.
Today we participated in a Field Trip experience. The Band and Orchestra students travelled to Fairlawn Lutheran Church (during a blizzard) to watch Apollo's Fire perform. It was a look into the life and works of Antonio Vivaldi. The students were very well-behaved and proudly represented Perkins!
Our next performance will be our Winter Concert, held at Perkins on Tuesday December 16, 2008 at 6:30 pm. The concert is earlier than last year, partly because we are welcoming the Buchtel Band, Orchestra, and Choir to perform as well. We are really looking forward to working together.
